Proses Weighted Sum Untuk Kesesuaian Lahan Pinang

Abstrak. Tanaman pinang (Areca catechu) merupakan komoditi tradisional yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi cukup tinggi. Dengan adanya metode Weighted Sum pada aplikasi ArcGIS mampu mempermudah dalam menganalisis tingkat kesesuaian lahan pinang. Upaya pengelolaan tanaman pinang yang baik, diperlukan ketepatan dalam menentukan kesesuaian lahan dan syarat tumbuh tanaman pinang yang diperoleh dari klasifikasi kesesuaian lahan tanaman pinang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian lahan budidaya tanaman pinang dengan menggunakan metode Weighted Sum. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Penginderaan Jauh dan Kartografi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Pelaksanaan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data spasial (curah hujan, jenis tanah, ketinggian, kemiringan lereng, penggunaan lahan) didapatkan dari berbagai sumber yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Data parameter sifat kimia tanah (Kapasitas Tukar Kation, Kejenuhan Basa, reaksi tanah, C-organik), dan analisis spasial kimia tanah bersumber pada Dinas Pertanian dan Pangan Kabupaten Bener Meriah, selanjutnya dilakukan scoring dan pembobotan. Berdasarkan analisis spasial dengan menggunakan metode Weighted Sum untuk kesesuaian lahan pinang didapatkan 5 kelas kesesuaian lahan pinang. Kesesuaian lahan kelas S1 (sangat sesuai) meliputi areal seluas 761,06 ha atau 1,13%, S2 (cukup sesuai) seluas 2028,93 ha atau 3,01%, S3 (sesuai marginal) seluas 13425,23 ha atau 19,94%, N1 (tidak sesuai saat ini) seluas 22525,77 ha atau 33,46% dan N2 (tidak sesuai selamanya) yaitu seluas 28578,12 ha atau 42,45%.Weighted Sum Process for the Suitabilty for Areca Nut LandAbstract. ÃÂ Areca nut plant (Areca Catechu) is a traditional commodity which has high economic value. Using Weighted Sum method in the ArcGIS application, we are able to analyze the land suitability level for Areca nut plants easier. The appropriate Areca nut plant management efforts require an accuracy in determining its land suitability and growing conditions according to its land suitability classification. This research aims to determine the suitability of land for Areca nut cultivation using the Weighted Sum method. This research was conducted in the Remote Sensing and Cartography Laboratory. The implementation of research included the collection of spatial data (rainfall, soil type, altitude, slope, land use) obtained from various sources related to this research. Data parameters of soil chemical properties (Cation Exchange Capacity, Base Saturation, soil reactions, organic-C), and spatial analysis of soil chemical were obtained from the Department of Agriculture and Food of Bener Meriah Regency. The data were subsequently scored and weighted. The spatial analysis of the data using the Weighted Sum method for the suitability of Areca nut, resulted in 5 classes of Areca nut land suitability, namely, S1 (very suitable) with an area of 761.06 ha or 1.13%, S2 (moderately suitable) with an area of 2028.93 ha or 3.01%, S3 (marginaly suitable) with an area of 13425.23 ha or 19.94%, N1 (currently unsuitable) with an area of 22525.77 ha or 33.46% and N2 (permanently unsuitable) which has 28578.12 ha or 42.45%.
