This paper presents the experimental study for the shear behavior of fiber foam reinforced concrete beams. Tests were performed for three fiber foam reinforced concrete beams with varying the shear reinforcement distance, 20 cm, 25 cm, and without shear reinforcement, and one control beam which was using conventional beams with the shear reinforcement distance was 25 cm. The specimens were tested using four point loading. Three units of LVDT placed at a distance of 250 mm and 1000 mm from the support. The result will emphasis to load carrying capacity, deflection, ductility index, failure mode, and crack pattern for each specimen. The results are compared with the control beam. Based on test results, it was found that the maximum load and deflection that can be carried by the fiber foam concrete with shear reinforcement 20 cm, 25 cm, and without shear reinforcement were 16.16 Tonf, 1.98 cm; 16.03 Tonf, 1.125 cm; 10.64 Tonf, 1.287 cm respectively. The result for control beam was the load 16.88 Tonf, and the deflection was 0.906 cm. It has been found that ductility index for control beam was only half of ductility index of fiber foam reinforced concrete beams. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
