Mathematical Optimization Model of Parking Capacity for Parking Area in Triangular Shape

This article focuses on a mathematical model for optimalization of parking lot capacity. The triangular shape is taken as the available space for the parking area. The model is developed in a linear system by considering the maximum number of the parking space units which can be accommodated in the parking area. The parking space unit is a size of an effective area for a parked vehicle, including free space and door opening width. The condition for the triangular space to be occupied as the parking lot is also derived by regarding the size of an angle of the triangle. Based on the model obtained that the angle of a triangle which is used as a parking lot depends on the exterior row, length and width of the parking lot.
