In this study, a combination of different sources and multiple years is used of elevation data to study the coastal changes and development of the tsunami-affected area. The data which consists of contour lines and elevation points are used as the input to generate Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) by using Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) method. The results exhibit 3 sub regions which have different patterns of morphological development in the early period (i.e. one year) after the tsunami. Meanwhile the development in the following year shows a tendency of smoothened coastal profiles (i.e cross-shore as well as alongshore) in the entire region, which could indicate a development towards a new coastal state.
